What types of books can I sell on Ziffit?

That's the best thing about Ziffit. We are happy to take on pretty much anything and everything. So however eclectic or eccentric your book collection is we can always give you a quote.

Of course, we can’t guarantee that we’ll accept every single title, but you won't find out until you punch in the ISBN or scan the barcode, and chances are we’ll be able to make you an offer.

What is an acceptable condition for books?

We are happy to receive books that have been well used, so don’t worry if yours isn’t in pristine condition. However, please be aware that when we receive your book, it will be manually checked on arrival at the Ziffit HQ.

It’s always better to be realistic about the condition of your book. If the condition is really poor, (if your books are barely being held together or contain an entire year's course notes, for example), please be aware that we may not be able to accept them.

We are not able to accept books with the following damage:

  • Water damage
  • Missing pages
  • Excessive annotations
  • Ripped or damaged cover/spine

However, well-used books, and the occasional highlighted line is absolutely fine. If you have any questions about the conditions we accept, please just drop us an email or give us a call. We cannot return any books that have been rejected because of poor condition, however we will recycle any items that have been deemed unsellable.

What is an EAN?

EAN stands for European Article Number and this is a barcode which should be a 12 or 13-digit number found on your book. Each EAN uniquely identifies the product, manufacturer, and its attributes; and usually you can see the EAN on the back of a book.

What is an ISBN?

ISBN stands for International Standard Book Number and is essentially a barcode for books. Each book has this unique code which is made up of either 10 or 13 digits (all ISBNs on books produced after January 1st 2007 have 13 digits). You can usually find the ISBN printed on the back cover of the book.

You can use either the EAN or the ISBN to find out how much you can sell your book for, all you need to do is enter it via the app or on our site for a free instant quote.

Trade in Your DVDs, Games, and CDs too!

Of course, you can also offload a few unwanted DVDs, games and CDs at the same time. As long as you have ten or more items to sell, or your stuff is worth over a fiver, you’re ready to make a trade. Turn your things into money, fast!
